Commanster is a village located south-east of Vielsalm. Its castle, a listed monument, was built by Henri-François Baptiste, alderman at the court of Salm and mayor of Gouvy. The date of construction of 1741 appears on the lintel of the entrance door. The carved oak wainscoting of the stairway, the coat of arms and the doors are remarkable. You can taste the Cervoise de Commanster and eat there.

The ice-house is located near the N675, at the eastern exit of the village. This curious construction will allow you to imagine how 'cold' was made in the middle of the 19th century.
